西安文理学院北帕默斯顿学院于2025年12月经中华人民共和国教育部批准设立（批准号：MOE61NA02DNR20252597N），是西安文理学院（XAU）与新西兰国立联合理工学院（UCOL）合作举办的本科层次中外合作办学机构。合作外方新西兰国立联合理工学院是拥有百年办学历史的新西兰公立理工高校，隶属于新西兰国家理工联盟Te Pūkenga，为国际认证高等院校，学校信息技术专业实力雄厚，课程体系接轨国际产业标准，学位全球认可，为学院国际化教学开展提供了坚实优质的资源支撑。

学院锚定“服务国家战略、推动产教融合、培育国际人才”核心定位，聚焦“AI+数字创新”核心赛道，以产教融合、国际化人才培育为核心，构建高质量国际化育人体系，致力于培养兼具扎实技术能力、国际视野与跨文化沟通能力的高素质应用型数字人才，助力区域数字产业升级与“一带一路”跨文化建设。

学院采用成熟的“4+0”培养模式，学生四年全程在西安文理学院校本部就读，无需出国深造。学院全面引进外方三分之一核心教学资源，涵盖原版专业课程、外籍授课师资、国际专属教材及标准化海外实践体系，推行沉浸式双语教学模式，让学生足不出国门即可享受纯正、优质的国际化本科教育。学院课程体系深度融合中外学科优势，对标全球信息技术发展前沿，有机融入人工智能、大数据、云计算、数字创新、跨境项目管理等前沿内容，兼顾理论教学与工程实操，完全贴合国际化企业用人标准。

学院开设的专业均对接国家战略性新兴产业热门领域，市场岗位需求量大、薪资待遇优势显著，培养的学生具备优秀的双语应用能力与开阔的国际视野，在求职就业、国内升学、海外留学深造等方面均具备突出的综合竞争力。目前学院开设软件工程（AI+软件创新方向）、数据科学与大数据技术（大数据智能创新方向）两个本科专业。软件工程（AI+软件创新方向）毕业生可授予西安文理学院工学学士学位与新西兰国立联合理工学院信息与通讯技术学士学位；数据科学与大数据技术（大数据智能创新方向）毕业生可授予西安文理学院理学学士学位与新西兰国立联合理工学院信息与通讯技术学士学位。

Approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China in December 2025 (Approval No. MOE61NA02DNR20252597N), Palmerston North Institute of Xi'an University, PNI(XAU) is an undergraduate-level Sino-foreign cooperative education institution jointly established by Xi'an University (XAU) and the Universal College of Learning (UCOL) in New Zealand. As a century-old public college of technology, UCOL is affiliated with Te Pūkenga, New Zealand's national network of polytechnics and institutes, holding international higher education accreditation. Boasting strong expertise in information technology, UCOL delivers curriculum systems aligned with global industrial standards and globally recognized degrees, providing solid and high-quality international teaching resources for PNI.

Centering on the core positioning of "serving national strategies, integrating industry with education, and cultivating international talents", PNI focuses on the core track of "AI + digital innovation". It commits itself to building a high-quality international education system featured by in-depth integration of industry and education and international talent training. PNI aims to foster high-quality applied digital talents with solid technical capabilities, global vision and cross-cultural communication competence, contributing to the upgrading of regional digital industries and cross-cultural development under the Belt and Road Initiative.

PNI adopts a mature "4+0" training mode, where students complete all four years of undergraduate studies at the campus of Xi'an University without the need for overseas study. One-third of the core teaching resources are introduced from UCOL, including original overseas courses, foreign teachers, international textbooks and standardized overseas practical training systems. With immersive bilingual teaching, students can access authentic and high-standard international undergraduate education without going abroad. Integrating the disciplinary strengths of both Chinese and foreign universities, PNI's curriculum keeps pace with the global frontiers of information technology, covering artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, digital innovation, cross-border project management and other cutting-edge fields. It balances theoretical teaching and practical engineering training to fully meet the employment standards of international enterprises.

PNI's undergraduate majors are closely aligned with national strategic emerging industries, featuring strong market demand and competitive salary packages. Graduates with bilingual proficiency and global vision possess outstanding comprehensive competitiveness in employment, domestic postgraduate admission and overseas further study. PNI offers two undergraduate majors: Software Engineering (AI + Software Innovation) and Data Science and Big Data Technology (Big Data Intelligent Innovation). Graduates of Software Engineering will be awarded a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Xi'an University and a Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology degree from UCOL. Graduates of Data Science and Big Data Technology will be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from Xi'an University and a Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology degree from UCOL.
